Standing

Hey just a little something I wanted to share with you. Something God's been teaching me, maybe it'll bring encouragement. In the past week I keep hearing God say "stand, just stand". Sometimes when we are in the middle of spiritual battle, we feel like we have done everything we can, everything we know to fight. I have felt for months now that I am just tired....simply tired. Not necessary physically although that does happen from time to time but tired of the warfare that the enemy brings. Sometimes it feels like we reach a place where we can't go on, we can't wait any longer. I have come to that place and that is when I heard Him say, then just stand. My mind immediately remembered these verses. Eph 6:10-13 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to STAND your ground, and after you have done everything, to STAND.

I have a friend who is a professional wrestler and he told me about how it is when he fights....when your enemy pushes you down its ok as long as you stand back up. If you stay down then your opponent has won...as long as you have the strength to stand, the fight is still on.
So, I was sharing with the students I disciple today sometimes we must get stubborn with the enemy and if we don't have to strength to fight back then at least stand....make it clear that you are not going down, and you're sure not going backwards....but your standing and with God's strength moving forward.
